ADOPTABLE Dogs

Can’t make a permanent commitment? Opening your home to a dog for a weekend or as long as it takes them to get adopted, you can help open a kennel and help a homeless pet by fostering. To learn more, click here!

Hall of Fame

The Mutts of the Midway Hall of Fame is a way for us to showcase any dog that has been in our rescue for six months or more. We are dedicated to finding the right fit for all of our dogs and for some it just takes a little more time.

When a mutt is inducted into our Hall of Fame, they get a special day to showcase them on their Induction Day. Their adoption fee can be sponsored by an individual. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our Hall of Famers, email us at muttsofthemidway@gmail.com.

We are happy to announce that we do not have any current Hall of Famers.

More about our process…
Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged!

All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs.

All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm prevention, microchipped, spayed/neutered and given a health exam.
